New Foursquare app for Windows Phone

Foursquare is a popular location based social networking service with more than 30 million people using it and the app has been available for Windows Phone. The Windows Phone app was one of the best ones which when it was released, but now the Android and iOS app has got major updates in the recent past, while Windows Phone app remained the same.

But now Foursquare for Windows Phone has got a major UI change. The new app has the current location map as header. There are three tabs in the home page with Explorer, Activity and Profile.

There is also an in-built search for places. When you hit the check in button at the bottom of screen, you are taken to the screen where you can see the current places available for check in.

Overall, this is a major improvement over the previous version and this version still keeps the metro UI.
