New Messaging App in Windows 10 Preview
Few days back Microsoft has released the second major build of the technical preview for phone. The new build comes with new features and also improvements to existing ones from the previous build. Some of the new features includes new messaging, email, Maps apps and also other changes to the settings in the OS.
In this post, we take a look into the new messaging app on Windows 10.
If you look closely, there is a beta tag for the messaging app, which means it is work in progress and you might encounter bugs.

The messages now have a profile pic for the contact, so in case you have set a profile pic, this will turn up here. At the bottom, you can see two options, one is to compose a new message and second the options menu. In the options, you have the message settings, ability to select conversations and also link/unlink the two SIM cards (only available for dual SIM card devices).
You can also access blocked messages.

The compose window has the option to add recipient by clicking on the small + icon. You can also attach a photo or video or share your location from the attachment option at the bottom.
While the new changes looks refreshing, there is still lot of work pending from Microsoft as it is not yet a polished app. We will have more coverage on the new apps on Windows 10 TP, so stay tuned!
