Nick World App for Windows Phone for Kids

If you are using Kids Corner pretty seriously, here is a great addition—Nick World—which bring you series of fun filled videos from some of the greatest cartoon shows created for kids.

The App Experience:

As soon as you launch the app, some of the most popular shows are available right away, Pakdam Pakdai , Motu Patlu, Kung Fu Panda, Avatar, TMNT from Sonic and so on. Tap on them and you have series of videos to watch over. They are low definition and good enough for kids and they don’t hit on your bandwidth.

You can also create your own playlist by adding videos to the list directly or make a search. While doing so you can add a series to your favorites as well. The app includes the best of shows aired on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Teen Nick and Sonic. If you want to see more that what is listed, hit the View All icon in the menu bar to show more characters and series.

Watching Video:

When it works, its just fine. It doesn’t go full screen i.e. the resolution isn’t that great but does the job. The audio is equally good. The only thing which I did not like is that many a times it throws up error for videos even on high speed.

The app is well done but with lot of pop-ups which you need to cancel every time. However the content is great so still worth it. The app has been published by Indian Vendor and seems to available only here. Hope this to go global soon.
