Nokia Asha 500 Hands on — Entry Level Asha Series Phone

Nokia Asha 500 is an entry level Asha Phone which was launched today at the Nokia World. Looking at the sales of Nokia Asha 501, Nokia must have decided to go further low-end with another phone and still appeal to the consumers who are picking up a smartphone for the first time.  Here the video followed by all the talks.

Like Asha 502 and 503, Asha 500 has a dual shot rear panel which can be taken out. The dual shot case really makes Asha phone to stand out compared to the plastic phones in the same range. The dual shot case makes it look -look like it has a case on the top of the phone giving it a glassy candy-like look which for some reason reminds me of the Fox’s candies.

The phone has a 2 MP camera with no flash ( It’s the Lumia 520 of the Asha Series). While lot has changed outside not much has changed from inside the phone. The micro SD card and the second SIM slot are on sides while the main SIM gets inside the battery. That said, the case is a big fingerprint magnet because of the glossy finish.

The biggest news is on the software part which now has Whats App pre-installed in the Asha Platform. Apart from this you also get to see Line and WeChat. There is a minor change in the platform and I will suggest you to check out details here and comparison between them here
