Data Plan offers for Nokia Phones in India ( Windows Phone / Feature Phones)
When you buy a Nokia phone, either the traditional feature phones or Lumia (Windows Phone), you will find data offers already available with those plans. Some of these plans are activated on your number as soon you use the respective telecom’s SIM with the phone or can be activated by calling up the operator itself.
If you are planning to buy one of these new phones and want to check out the offer prior to that, Nokia India has setup a web page to check out all these offers for 3G and 2G network. All the offers are listed at http://www.getnokia.in/dataOffer/ , but make sure to check out the operator’s coverage in your area. As an example, Airtel does not have 3G at all circles.
Most of the pre-paid offers which are listed, get activated within 48 hrs to 72 hrs while post paid users need to fill in the form which should be simple enough. Just make sure to keep track when your data plan ends to avoid the regular heavy charges applied by the operators later on. In case of any confusion, your local branch dealer would be your best choice.
Good part is that even if you switch mobile after the deal is activated, the data plan remains active. So if any of your friend has a phone whose operator does not offer such plans, use your SIM to get the data plan to activate it for yourself. Note that your existing plan will be cancelled when the new plan gets activated.
