Nokia Glance coming to Lumia Phones

With the release and availability of new Lumia 925, Nokia has also shipped a beta version of its new feature- Nokia Glance. Glance screen actually works as a clock for the standby mode that also provides battery indicator in case it is low battery level or if the phone is charging. It also shows a silent icon along with a double-tap to wake feature to activate a phone.

The Glance feature is configurable, you can change it from the settings. There are three options: on, off and timed. The timed setting is perhaps the best. It will show the Glance screen, but switch it off after 15 minutes.

Another set of options if the night mode. In Night mode you can choose between off and timed. Night mode turns the colour of the clock to a dark red, which is soother to your eyes in the dark.

You can also set the start time and end time for night mode, the time you actually sleep.

This feature is currently in beta and available only for Lumia 925, but it will be rolled out to other Lumia phones with the Amber update slated for July release.
