Nokia India Kicks Off “Your Wish My App” Season Two along with NDTV

Nokia has always pushed app development not only in the house but also off the house and the biggest example is the “Your Wish My App” effort they made across the globe to bring some awesome ideas into the reality and to Windows Phone.

Yet again, Nokia is launching the season two along with NDTV  and the big reward is Rs 10 lakhs (1 million) for the winner, two runners up will be awarded Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 2 lakhs each and three lucky winners will stand a chance to win the new amazing Nokia Lumia 1520.

Here are few stats from last season:

  • 38,000 ideas submitted.
  • Of the top 2000 ideas 1200 are live on the WP Store.

This Season’s Goal :

  • Nokia and NDTV will take it to the youth across the country in leading colleges and universities in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore
    through the month of February
  • 4000 top ideas will be published on Nokia DVLUP
  • Expert developers will be invited to work on select top applications, with Nokia providing UX and design consultation in addition to technical support.
  • This time, 30 shortlisted apps will be showcased in a nine-episode reality TV show which will be aired on NDTV Prime starting mid-March.

Superior smartphones, constant connection to Internet and great content has ensured that apps have woven themselves ever deeper into our daily routines. At Nokia we have constantly worked towards accelerating consumption of apps, whether through introducing innovative smart devices, building a robust ecosystem of developers or lowering cost of accessibility for users. 

The hunt for the next killer app will be judged by Rajiv Makhni, Vishal Gondal,  Sanjeev Bickhchandani, Vikas Khanna, Kalki Koechlin.

  • Twitter/Facebook: Post your idea  either on your Twitter handle or FB page  and tag it with  #YourWishIsMyApp. Nokia will track your participation
  • Nokia India FB page: Visit the Nokia India FB page, click on the YWMA tab  and enter your idea.
  • SMS:  send your ideas to  5555 (YWMA followed by  app idea )
