Nokia Launches Lumia 1020 in India

Nokia had announced their new flagship phone the Lumia 1020 with the massive 41MP PureView camera back in July this year. At the launch, Nokia hinted that the launch will happen first in US and Europe and then expand to other countries. After less than 3 months, Nokia has announced the device in India today.

Nokia Lumia 1020 sports a 4.5 inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 which is an improvement over Lumia 925 and Lumia 920. Lumia 1020 also comes with 2GB of RAM and this could be due to the fact that the camera processing might require additional RAM. The phone is powered by 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 Dual Core processor and comes with 32GB on board memory and 7GB SkyDrive cloud storage.

Nokia-Lumia1020-Pureview

The device is launched in India today, at an event in New Delhi. The device will be available in all major online retailers as well as Nokia dealers across the country from October 11th.  The device price will be announced only on October 10th, a day before the availability.  Nokia has bundled a one year insurance cover with the device.
