Nokia Lumia 1020 Hands on & Quick Review
After the announcement of 1020 yesterday, I really wanted to get a closer look at the device than just looking at the press pictures and videos shot for demonstration. Raju from TechPP was kind enough to send us one video for all the users of WPXBOX who have been waiting for it. He has shared his first impression of the device. Below is the video followed by transcript.
At the first impression the device looks almost like Lumia 920 both in terms of shape and the thickness. The place where it differs, physically, is the back side which houses the mammoth 41mp camera. The images taken from the camera have been leaking since a long time but everyone wowed when they got a look at the actual performance of the sensor.
The back where the lens fit in, is little bulged out. Along with the sensor the camera has two flash. The long one is the XENON while the smaller one which looks like a dot is LED flash. The latter is supposed to be used with video. The camera has 6 lenses stacked over each other of which 5 are actually plastic lenses.

Coming to videos they can be recorded at 1080P like we have in current phones but if you do it using the camera pro app, you will be able to zoom inside. Also the camera will allow to record stereo sound instead of mono. This app when rolled out to all 92X devices will enable HD recording. The back of the phone also has ports which when used with wireless charging case can be used with the wireless charger.

The Front has the Amoled display with 720P resolution, along with 2GB of RAM with 1.5GHz processor from Snapdragon. The phone runs the latest updates which also includes the amber update from Nokia. Remember you will need the Amber update to actually run the Nokia Pro cam. Amber update was announced during Lumia 925 launch in UK.
Check out detailed specification of Lumia 1020 here and quick comparison of specs vs 920, vs 925 and vs 808 Pureview. There were also a set of new apps announced like Path & Vine exclusive for Lumia series.
