Nokia Lumia 1020 Priced at Rs 49999 in India [Updated]

Nokia has launched the Lumia 1020 in India last week, but they did not mention the pricing of the device. Nokia said that the pricing will be announced closer to the actual availability which is October 11th. But it seems that the Nokia store in India has the pricing info for Lumia 1020. The new Lumia 1020 will be priced at Rs 49999 in India.

All the three colors are listed on the site will the release date mentioned as 3rd week of October.

We feel the pricing is very high considering the competition like LG G2, Xperia Z1 etc. Lumia 1020’s price is the same compared to the Galaxy Note 3 which has a bigger screen and more powerful hardware. The actual pricing of Boom is marked at Rs 2999 which virtually brings down the price to 47K but only few will spend such huge price.

What really pushes the price way too high is the camera sensor and it was the same case when Nokia 808 was launched. There is no camera in the market which comes close to 1020 and we realized that well when Kuntal did the camera analysis. Though a comparison is still due.

I am guessing the price will fall into the range of 42 to 46K as festive season approaches, specially around Diwali.
