Nokia Lumia 1020 Unboxing [Video]
Nokia announced the new Lumia 1020 with the massive 41MP PureView sensor back in July and we had covered the hands-on video from the launch. The phone comes with a 4.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 332ppi and is similar to the one found in Lumia 925. It also runs the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 225GPU along with 2GB RAM.
It also features the 32GB storage and has the similar design on Lumia 920, but with the 41MP camera. The camera unit is very similar to the one featured on the Nokia 808 PureView and is regarded as one of the best cameras available on a smartphone today. Now, we have the device with us and we are posting the unboxing photos and video.
Design wise, the phone is very similar to Lumia 920 with the usage of polycarbonate materials. There is a bump at the back for the 41MP camera sensor along with the flash unit. The device comes in Yellow, Black and White colors.
What is inside the box : The usual stuff; mobile charger head, USB data cable, earphones and manuals. It also comes with SIM card pin which you need to use to take the tray holder like in Lumia 920.

So how does it feel ?
I am using the device since last 2 days and it’s pretty amazing when it comes to taking pictures. Of course I don’t have to say that but it’s a completely a different experience when you start using it with the Nokia Pro Cam and make use of all the manual settings. The camera does produce two images simultaneously, one which is used for sharing and other to edit the original image at any time.

Also, since the phone uses a manual shutter to capture some amazing details, it takes a while to come back to picture taking mode. That’s a kind of drawback many would feel but if you really want to capture some moments which has motion, smiling faces and so on, you better use the Nokia Smart Cam which does this job much faster and with lot of details which can be edited later on. Being a long time Lumia 920 user, I found the device to be light weight even with that bump in place. I also noticed that when taking lot of pictures, and sharing them you will end up draining your battery much faster than usual. But keeping in mind the quality, which is priceless.
