Nokia Lumia 520- Hands On Video and Photos
Earlier today, Nokia has announced a budget Windows Phone 8 device, the Nokia Lumia 520. It is probably the most affordable Windows Phone yet with good set of features which are expected for an entry level smartphone. It features a 4” IPS LCD WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) 16M colors and a 5MP camera. It runs on a 1Ghz dual core processor with 512MB RAM. It also features 8 GB mass memory and support for microSD cards up to 64GB.
We got a chance to play with the new Lumia 520 and here are our impressions.
Lumia 520 is a high quality phone when it comes to build and look and feel. Generally low end phones have low quality plastics, but Nokia has impressed us here with great build quality and look and feel. We have already mentioned about Nokia planning to flood the low end segment with WP8 devices and this has started with 520 and 620.

Both Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 follow the same design patterns. They are tapering at the end which is like HTC 8X but smoother. The phones have great grip and much better than 620 and even the 610 and 510 Lumia phones. Nokia has mentioned that going forward all phones will have similar designs.

The screen quality is ok by which I mean they aren’t as great as Lumia 820 but not bad either. You can feel a bit of resistance when you actually swipe around the screen. Another good thing about the phones is that you don’t have to take off the battery to remove SIM and the SD cards. Unlike Lumia 820 they are on the side of the battery instead of being in the inner side.

Lumia 520 also comes with super sensitive touch display which means you can use it with your gloves on.

Nokia has done an excellent job by upgrading the Lumia 510 to 520 with some great specs and quality. Here is a the hands on video of Lumia 520.
