Play Nokia Mix Radio using Cortana

Mix Radio from Nokia is one of the best music service for anybody to experience and it just got better with its recent update that was pushed out. While the change log talks about everything here is what we see was missed—Cortana Integration—which allows you to start playing mix radio or skip an ongoing track.

Long press the Bing Search button and say:

Mix Radio Play Me
Mix Radio Skip

And the music gets customized for you to start playing.. How awesome is that ?

Automatic refresh of offline mixes: This will happen after 20 days when you open the app. They made sure that your mobile data is not hit, so the refresh happens only when your phone is connected to WiFi. Talk about getting lazy!!

Nokia Mix Radio Tile Just got Even Awesomer: The Mix Radio team proves it again that there’s someone in their design team who makes a lot of sense and things differently. Pin Nokia Mix Radio Wide Tile and this happens:

When there is no music being played, a transparent tile with the logo smiling at you in the middle. You will see Album covers of recently played music showing up now and then.
Play a Music and the left half of the logo goes pink with the name of the music on left bottom while right half display the cover page of that music…this seriously looks awesome.

That said, these are definitely some impressive updates from Nokia Mix Radio. I have personally heard people asking about auto refresh of those mixes which means they are hearing you and the more feedback we give to them, the better music experience will get back to us.
