Nokia Mix Radio Scanner (PC/ Mac) — Let Mix Radio Know What You Listen To
While Nokia Music is rebranded as Nokia Mix Radio transforming into a digital radio or streaming service, One of the crucial data points required by the Mix Radio app is to understand what you listen to. This is the reason why it scanned your music collection at first launch to create a music profile.

Now, since most us have our music collection over PC, how can one tell Mix Radio to look into it. One way is to manually add artists or let Mix Radio scan your collection using the Mix Radio Scanner for PC & MAC. The good part is you can keep this installed over your computer, scan every time you import a new music track and come back and listen to Play Me Mix to listen to all of them instantly–
“In Seconds your songs, artists, and genres are scanned, creating a profile of what you like. And from this your Play Me Mix is made.”
How does it work?
Available for both PC and MAC, once installed signin with your Nokia Account which you are using on your phone. Once done that, point the application to your music collection and it will scan and send all data to Nokia Mix Radio Servers and associate it with your account. At the end of scanning process it will say “We will use songs and artists we found to make our radio mixes much better”

Once done, anybody else can also use the same music scanner by signing you out and selecting his personal music folder. That way it works for everybody.

You can download it from here. I got to know about this feature when taking a look at its settings section. There is a section named as Computer Scan which has this information. I wish there was a way the phone was scanning the PC :P
