Nokia Music is also Acquired by Microsoft

Two days back we had this breaking news of Nokia being acquired by Microsoft in a 7 billion deal for smartphones and services division along with patents. Nokia Music is service from Nokia which allows users to download songs on their Lumia phones using the app. Nokia also released the Windows 8 app with subscription which allowed users to stream music using a subscription plan.

Neowin is now reporting that Nokia Music is also acquired by Microsoft as a part of the deal as it is connected service of the smartphones division.

As of now Nokia Music will continue to work till the time the deal goes through, which is expected in first quarter of 2014. But there is no information on what will happen to Nokia Music once the deal is complete since Microsoft is also having its own music service, Xbox music. While Xbox music is limited to few countries, Nokia Music is available in more than 40 countries.

Further, Nokia Music + is just $3.99 per month while Xbox Music comes for $9.99, so we are not sure of the future of Nokia Music.
