Nokia Pro Cam Update brings Nokia Camera; Merges Nokia Smart Cam & Solves Slow Loading Issue
As announced and showcased today, Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam have been merged and the update is available right on your Windows Phone. Just make a search on the store for Nokia Cam and you should see the update available when you launch the app.
Apart from that, loading times on the Pro Cam have been substantially reduced, which is a major improvement. Just hit the camera button and if the app is set to default, it will immediately launch for you instead of making you wait for loading up the controls. However the issue of being asked for a password still remains, if you had setup a password for lock screen and only MS can resolve this issue.
The camera now lets you switch between three modes. First is the default Nokia Pro Cam, Second is the video mode and lastly the Nokia Smart Camera mode which lets you capture burst of images and do camera magic like motion blur, action shot and so on.
Also to note that Nokia Camera does not show tons of controls like before but only an option to change the flash and a small arrow to tap, if you want to switch from automatic mode to default to manual. When you tap the arrow it expands and stays at the end, so if you wish to switch back to automatic mode, just hit the arrow and you are done. However the “a” written on side of the flash, indicates Automatic mode can now be set to default.
