Nokia Pro Camera Coming to All PureView Lumia Phones

Nokia has today announced the all new Lumia 1020 which sports the 41MP PureView camera and a host of other features. With the announcement, 1020 becomes one of the best smartphones with a highly excellent camera. The PureView camera was first announced for Nokia 808 and same technology has been improved and made available to Lumia 1020.

Along with the announcement, Nokia also showcased the new Nokia Pro Camera  app which is an innovative and completely new photography experience that helps you to unlock the full imaging potential of the Nokia Lumia 1020. Nokia also did a live demo of the features with the announcement.

Using Nokia Pro Camera you can control settings such as:

  • Shutter speed (1/16000 to 4 seconds)
  • EV value
  • ISO (100 to 4,000)
  • White balance
  • Manual focus

The good news is that this app will be available to all Lumia devices with the PureView camera. This means that Lumia 920, Lumia 928 and also Lumia 925 will be getting this app.

But for using this app, the device will need the Amber update which is slated for release in early August. During the same update and with this camera lens app, stereo quality recording will get unlocked for Lymia 92X phones which is currently mono. Lumia 1020 enjoys the full-stereo HAAC recording ability.
