Nokia Shuts down Nokia Music Online Store in India

Nokia Music India offered songs in India for download from the web browser or on desktop using an unlimited subscription. Nokia has now pulled a plug on this service and now is is only available through phones. So in case you have an active subscription, you will be able to download songs only through your Nokia Mobile phones with the Nokia Music Unlimited subscription.

If you visit Nokia Music through browser, you will see the notice that Nokia Music is no longer available. Nokia offered songs in India in many categories and had Indian labels like Sony BMG, Saregama, T-Series, etc.

So in case you have a Lumia phone or other Nokia branded phone with subscription you will be able to download songs in the phone and then transfer them to desktop using the Nokia PC suite or Windows Phone app.

Recently online music service from Flipkart also closed citing various issues. This news comes days after Microsoft announced that they will be acquiring Nokia’s mobiles and services division which also includes Nokia Music.
