Nokia X and Nokia X+ Hands on

Nokia has announced its first Android phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) in Barcelona. The Nokia X series phones will run a custom version of Android (AOSP) and will have an interface very similar to Windows Phone 8. There are three devices launched in the Nokia X series, the Nokia X, X+ and the XL. The Nokia X and X+ are very similar devices except for the fact that the later comes with more RAM. They both come with SD card support.

Nokia X comes with 4.0 inch display which is IPS + LCD and runs on Android, customized by Nokia. The device is powered by a 1Ghz dual core Snapdragon processor with 512MB RAM on Nokia X and 768 MB RAM on Nokia X+. Both the device come with 4GB internal storage. Both the devices have 3MP camera but there is no flash. The camera is fixed focus unlike auto focus on Nokia XL.

We tried out the device at MWC at the Nokia Press event and here are some photos and hands on video.

The device comes with the similar Fastlane experience which can be found on the Nokia Asha 5XX series phone. It also comes pre-installed with social networking apps like Twitter, Facebook etc. It also comes pre-installed with Opera Mobile browser along with the Nokia Xpress browser. BBM also comes pre-installed with the device. All the devices of Nokia X family has option to pull out battery when needed.
