Nokia’s DVLUP : Foursquare like Badges, Xbox like Achivements to Unlock Oppertunities for Windows Phone Devs

If you always thought that Windows Phone dev centre was just boring and only had loads of info, without having fun, Nokia is changing that with their latest program– DVLUP–a reward program to help you grow your app, get marketing opportunity and show off your badges. In simple words, this program is to help developers who don’t have a big budget to promote their apps and with zero ideas on marketing it.

Features of DVLUP:

  • Gamification model like Foursquare(badges) and Xbox (XP Points) where developers need to complete few things like quizzes, challeneges. When asked about it to a couple of related to apps and earn points. Later this can be used to take advantage for promotions. ( Windows Phone Store, App Social, in-app advertising, as well as by using print, digital, social and out-of-home media opportunities)
  • Help developers understand how to get their app featured in app discovery and marketing channels.
  • Available in more than 20 countries including: Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Poland, United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.
  • Free to Join.
  • Once you have signed in with DVLUP, you can add your unique Windows Publisher ID to let the program identify your apps.

How to Signup?

You can signup for DVLUP for free and start participating. Once signed up, make sure to fill in all profile information and details from the Windows Phone Dev Center for applications to be tracked.
