Nokia’s “Phones” Section Spotted; Android Smartphones Coming in 2017

Just before Google introduced Android Smartphones, Nokia was considered as the king of the mobile phone market. They ruled the mobile phone market for over a decade. After Android Smartphones started taking away the mobile market share from Nokia, Nokia tried to make a comeback with Microsoft’s Windows Phones. However, things didn’t go as expected and Nokia had to quit the mobile phone market.

Nonetheless, even after selling off their mobile phone division to Microsoft, rumors were that Nokia might make a comeback to the phone market. And now, after three years we finally get to see that happening. Yes, they will be back! Nokia will be stepping back into the phone business in partnership with HMD global.

Today we have spotted that Nokia’s official website has now “Phones” in the navigation menu. Clicking on phones will take you to the page where you can see the basic phones launched under Microsoft. I guess these are the phones which were launched after Microsoft gave the basic phone business to HMD Global. This page don’t say much about the Android Smartphones, but surely confirms that they are coming.

After navigating to the Phone page on the Nokia website, you can see the box that says – “We’re busy working on Nokia smartphones running Android™. Sign up below and we’ll keep you posted on what’s next.” Enter your email id to subscribe. You will be getting a confirmation mail from Nokia. Once received, you will be notified via mail whenever they launch a Smartphone.

We all have wanted to see a Nokia smartphone running Android. After years of wait, we can finally see our dream coming true. Just a month from now, and we will have Nokia Smartphones in the market, yet again. Isn’t it exciting to see the rebirth of the brand we loved? Heck yeah! Looks like Nokia has already planned to make this new year great.
