Office 365 Desktop Apps can now be Downloaded directly from the Store

Office 365 is one of the core products of Microsoft, and now its available to be downloaded directly from the Microsoft / Windows Store. While this may sound like Microsoft wanted to make sure that Windows 10 S users didn’t get left out, as it only supports apps from the Store, it only makes sense for it is in the store now aligning with the vision of Microsoft of UWP Apps.

Right now, you can see the Office 365 Home version available in the store which gives you access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Publisher–all 2016 versions. Microsoft has ported their apps just to make sure nobody is missed out. The price for the home version is Rs 4619 which can be renewed on the yearly or monthly basis. It will cost you Rs 460 for the later.

Microsoft is promoting it as best for households which can be used on For 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets including iPad, Android, or Windows, plus 5 phones. That said, these are not online version, but fully installed versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, plus Publisher and Access to PC only.

It will get automatically upgraded as new features roll in, and you also get 1 TB OneDrive cloud storage per user, for up to 5 users. Sounds like a fair deal to me. That said, there is one catch. You will need to uninstall existing installation of Desktop Apps.
