Office 365 Users can Now Use Outlook Groups for Windows 10 Mobile / Windows Phone

If you have an Office 365 account for school or work, you can try out the brand new app from Microsoft– Outlook Group– which lets you engage with your school team or your own personal team for discussions, chat, share photos, notes, and other stuff. The app also lets you join Open 365 Groups that might be of interest to you.

  • Easily participate in group email conversations.
  • Share photos and “like” a message, or @mention a person or a group.
  • Work together using the shared team OneNote’s notebook.
  • View and co-author Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) shared with your group.

That said, the limitation of the Office 365 account might annoy a few of you as the same product and service are available through OneDrive except that you cannot have groups and Microsoft has already retired the Rooms feature from Windows Phone, which partially had this so of functionality. I hope that Microsoft can open this feature for all Windows 10 Mobile users.

Tip: If you get into many Outlook Groups, there is an option to turn off notifications in the settings menu.
