Office Remote : The Perfect Office Presenter for Windows Phone
While there are many apps which allow you to take control of your PC remotely like Unity and Team Viewer, Microsoft has released an app for PowerPoint Junkies which lets them control slideshows, exactly the way they want. This app–Office Remote–connects with your PC over Bluetooth. Not only it lets you control PowerPoint files but also Word and Excel files. This works only with Office 2013 as of now.
Features:
When using PowerPoint presentation you will be able to advance the slides, see your speaker notes, and control an on-screen laser pointer with a touch of your finger. Yup that’s the virtual pointer and not something from your phone. We still need to wait for that tech to get on phone. Also, you will be able to keep up with presentation as the timer shows up on your phone along with slide numbers.
When it comes to Excel, you can navigate between sheets, graphs and control the data points to filter. It is possible to zoom in and out like you do on your PC which allows you to scroll quickly through a huge excel sheet.

When you are controlling a Word document, you will be able to jump through sections using the word navigation which is based on Headings and Tags used. These headers appear on your phone screen making it lot easier to see what next.
Set-up:
You will also need to install a PC Client and keep an office file open before you start using the app. Once the connection works, you will have control over the file. Download the file from here

Though at first thought, I was expecting the app to work over WiFi but then it needs WiFi availability or data dependability. Since most of the office guys have laptops which they take it over to meetings, it should suffice most of the needs. However PCs connected to projectors in office will need to have Bluetooth connected which is rare in office scenarios. Though not required, WIFI control would be a great addition.
