Official Facebook app for Windows Phone 8 Updated to 5.0

Microsoft has developed the official Facebook app for Windows Phone, but it did not have the latest features, including the new Facebook timeline. In April, Microsoft announced a beta release for a Facebook app, which existed along with the previous version. This new beta version had quite many new features, including support for a new timeline, high-resolution photos, and more.

Today, Microsoft has released these beta features into the official Facebook app, and it is now graduated to version 5.0. This major update brings a ton of new features and improvements that many of you have been asking for, including a complete overhaul of the user interface, improved navigation, support for high-res pictures, post sharing, Facebook Timeline view, and more.

You can now download and update the Facebook app to version 5.0.
