Official Twitter App for Windows Phone Gets a Major Update
The official Twitter client for Windows Phone has got a major update with new refreshing UI and features. The Twitter app is now bumped to version 2.0 with a new UI. Although Twitter app has been there for long time, it wasn’t feature rich and there are major other better apps like Rowi, Mehdoh etc. The new version has gone in through a major UI change with notifications.

When you open the app for the first time, it asks whether you need push notifications for your account. Once you have selected, it shows the home screen which has a new UI. The new UI has icons on the top navigation instead of text in the previous version.

There is also support for lock screen on WP8 and you can configure it from the settings. There is also live tile which shows your notification. You can pin Twitter accounts, lists, and searches to Start. Another major improvement is with regards to overall performance.
