Official Wolfram Alpha app comes to Windows Phone

Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine or answer engine developed by Wolfram Research. It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from externally sourced “curated data”, rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine might.

The company has now released it’s official app for Windows Phone 8.1 and is now available for download. The app is available for both Windows and Windows Phone.

The app covers areas like Mathematics, statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Astronomy and more. The app has pretty decent interface and is priced $2.99. There is no trial version available for the app and it also does not seem to have the integration with Cortana like how it integrates with Siri on iOS. Wolfram|Alpha Pro capabilities such as file upload and personal analytics are not yet available through this app.
