Onyu Contact Management App is Now on Windows Phone
If you are one of those who want to have their contacts encrypted, locked in, and can only be accessed by you, Onyx has launched their contact management app on Windows Phone, which brings this security feature. Like BBM, WhatsApp, the encryption is client-side, which means it can only be unlocked using your account and on your device.

Now the real question is, aren’t your existing email accounts and service keeping your contacts safe? They are, in fact, if you get 2-step security enabled for your account, it’s even better. However, the whole idea behind this service is that not even they can access your contact, while other services from Google and Microsoft can do that. Here is what they say on security:
What’s more, all of your information is held encrypted in our cloud. This means whenever you log in to a new device, your information and all of your contacts will instantly be available to you. And when we say encrypted, we really mean encrypted. Unlike other services, our application encrypts your data using state-of-the-art client-side technology.
This means that we have no way of accessing your information when it lands on our servers, even if wanted to. We do not hold the keys to unlock it. Only you hold the key, and only you know your password. This means we cannot read your data, we cannot sell your data, and we cannot use your data to pester you with advertising.
Now apart from getting your contacts secure, the app has some additional functionality. You can add your documents, driving license, insurance policy details, signature, and other important details. This could be your digital locker but still gives you the option to share the details you want with the third person. Of course, it will be you who initiate that.
