Opera browser debuts on Nokia X Platform

The Opera browsers are expanding their turf, as Opera and Nokia today announced that the Opera browser will come pre-installed on the Nokia X software platform recently announced. Nokia had announced its first Android phone at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona and there are 3 phones launched in this platform, the Nokia X, X+ and XL. Although these phones with have Nokia’s own Xpress browser, Opera browser will also be included.

The Opera browser launching with the Nokia X software platform is a full-fledged browser, with full web compatibility with standards such as HTML5 compatibility, the Blink rendering engine, Opera’s renowned compression feature and user friendliness.

At launch time, the Nokia models launching with Opera pre-installed on the Nokia X software platform include the devices Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL.

Along with Opera Browser, other apps which comes pre-installed on Nokia X are Viber, Skype, Truecaller, BBM, etc. Nokia X series phones are sure to generate a lot of interest when it will be released in emerging markets. We expect Nokia’s Android phones to sell in good numbers because of the interest the phones have generated at MWC 2014.
