PayTM App for Windows Phone

Paytm is a top-rated online service in India that allows you to recharge mobile numbers, DTH like Airtel, data cards, and even toll cards. The very idea of unifying all the services under one place and making the payment process easier has turned this app into the number 1 shopping app on Google Play and the number 1 utility app on the Apple Store for India.

The good news is that this app is finally here on the Windows Phone platform and works on both WP8 and WP7.X versions. Let’s get to know the features of the app:

On Mobile registration or use your existing Paytm Account.
You can add money to your Paytm account using Netbanking, Debit Card, and even Credit Card.

The details of the CC and Debit cards are stored securely.
Supports most of the popular banking services like SBI, HDFC, Axis bank, etc.
Supported DTH Services are Airtel, Dish, Reliance, Sun Direct, Tata Sky, and Videocon d2h.

Data Card operators in the list are BSNL, MTNL, MBlaze, MBrowse, Reliance Netconnect+, Tata Phone Plus, and Whiz.
Toll card support is only for Delhi and Gurgaon.
Both Prepaid and Postpaid mobiles are supported across all mobile operators.

Every time you recharge something, you can get coupons either free or cheaper. These coupons can be used in various online services. The app itself is designed well, keeping things simple. It uses the Windows Phone features, like when picking up the contact list, you will see the WP contact book.

There is no support for Live Tiles and pinning features like mobile recharge or toll cards. Also, there is no way to secure the app using a password which is crucial here as I don’t want anybody who has access to my mobile to get all the details.
