Photosynth for Windows Phone Released

Microsoft has finally released the much awaited Photosynth app for Windows Phone 8. Photosynth for Windows Phone is a Panorama app which allows you to take multiple photos and stitch them together and it is one of the most anticipated app on the OS. You can use this app to create a 360 panorama of any location by stitching photos together, you just need to keep moving the camera to the objects and the app will take photos and combine them.

You just need to tap the start button and keep the panorama moving as the images are added to the panorama. Finally when you done with the capture, you can start the stitching process. One the image is edited, you can add a name and then share it to social networks like Twitter or Facebook or even to Photosynth website.

The Windows Phone 8 release contains several handy new features including:

  • Lens integration – Quickly capture and view panoramas by launching Photosynth directly from the camera.
  • Ability to view shared panoramas—New sharing capabilities let other Windows Phone 8 users view your panoramas on their phone, and as always you can show off your panoramas by email, Facebook and Twitter.
  • More camera controls – Adjust for various lighting conditions by using new exposure and white balance locking options.

You can either access the app directly from the app list or use the camera and pull the app from the lenses.

The camera settings can be accessed from the app settings. You can enabled sounds, exposure, white balance etc and also include the photo location.

Your phone doesn’t need a gyroscope to install or use this app. If your phone includes a gyroscope, the app uses it to enhance your Photosynth panorama capture experience. You can now download the app for both Windows Phone 8 and 7.5 devices.
