Program any Compatible NFC Tag on Windows Phone 8

Windows Phone 8 comes with many changes and one of them is the support for NFC. Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimetres. NFC Launchit is a free app for Windows Phone 8, which can program any compatible NFC tag with useful actions. Supported actions are categorized into two sections ‘System Apps’ and ‘Popular Apps’.  Allowed actions include changing system settings, calling phone numbers, and launching one of over a hundred apps from the marketplace.

So in case you have NFC tags, you can add actions to them using this app.

To use the app, select the action from either System apps which includes changing system settings or from popular apps which can launch apps.

Now once you have selected the actions, you can tap the available compatible tag and the app will create it for you. You can use this app to create tasks for you, for example write a tag with directions to your home and stick it in the car for quick directions. Use a tag with Bluetooth settings to change Bluetooth settings or give your toddler a tag with her favorite game so that she can launch it easily.
