QR Scanner RS is a Fully automated Scanner for Links and Barcodes on Windows Phone

For Windows Phone users, if you want to scan a barcode there is the Bing vision lens in the camera. So whenever you want to scan barcodes, you can open the camera and switch the lens to Bing Vision. But now we have a better QR Scanner called QR scanner RS. QR Scanner RS is a totally free, lightweight, fully automated, dedicated scanner for links and barcodes. When you scan, the links are auto launched in Internet Explorer, Windows Phone Store links are opened directly in the store and barcodes are searched with on-board Bing search or by your favorite search provider.

You can choose Bing, Baidu, DuckDuckGo, Google, Yandex or a custom URL to e.g Amazon, Ebay, Pricegrabber, Idealo… for searching items by barcode.

So overall, the app is pretty feature rich and offers lot of features to choose from and the way it opens link is really good implementation. The camera focus is automated and continuous.

QR Scanner RS was build for one handed use without any required user input. The goal was to build a super fast scanning app which provides the best experience possible. In case the app recognizes any other content, a button for switching to the feature-rich QR Scanner+ will popup at the bottom. QR Scanner RS is also included in QR Scanner+ as an feature called “Rapid Scan”.

The app is completely free of cost and also comes with API which can be included in other apps.
