ReachMe : The Simplest Way to Share Location to Guide Friends Home

I remember that when it comes to sharing your current location, inbuilt location sharing systems are done pretty cool and they come handy when you are traveling to a friend’s for the first time.

MapMyIndia has launched an app around this idea which they call it as ReachMe. This app allows you to share your current location to your friends over SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. While the idea is not new, the sharing really helps as it’s integrated with MapMyIndia mapping service which has maximum no of POI.

You can see nearby landmarks which help your friends understand better as they drive to you. Best part is when they turn on the follow me feature, it helps to get real time movement on the map as they drive to you. If your friends are on computer, they can even see on that and since it loads up mobile view, which is faster.

What I really liked about the app is that there is no distraction. Once you launch the app, it detects your location and one tap you can share it wherever you want. Not only this if there is a location which you share often, you can save them as pins and reuse it again. This is unique to this app as none of the other apps allow you to save a location and reuse it with this simplicity.

That said, the link opens up in the mapping service of MapMyIndia which gives you turn by turn direction and loads of POI for easy identification of your friend’s location.
