Remote access windows phone 8

Getting access to a PC is a common requirement but trying to access Windows Phone from a browser sounds bit crazy. Why in the world would like to get access to your phone like that. At Nokia World, Beam was announced which completely gives you visual access to your Windows Phone and can come in handy if you want to troubleshoot or demonstrate a feature to somebody.

While that app is yet to appear but Go to My Phone service has released an app which allows you to get access to some crucial data from your Windows Phone.

While setting up is easy, what really impressed me was the Metro or Windows 8.1 like interface in the browser to get access to all the data. The app allows you to use Contacts, Images from all the native folders i.e. Camera, Screenshot and so on. It also lets you take picture using your camera with control on flash, record audio and listen from the browser.

Another sneaky use of this app would be to use this as a spy cam. You can have your phone right next to your PC or probably somewhere hidden and record audio or even take picture to see what is going around.

That said here are few minimum requirements. One you need to connect your phone over WiFi for it to work. This is probably because you have better speed over WiFi and hence better performance. Second, you will have to pay $3.49 or Rs 185 to get full access to the all the features. There is a trial available but it’s limited to 10 contacts or 10 images and so on.

I would recommend you to buy this app only and only if you are either spying heavily using this phone or you actually have loads of phones you cannot carry everyday. The app comes with a trial for you to understand access the basic features.
