Remotely Access your PC from Windows Phone using Tonido

Tonido has released their official Windows Phone 8 app which allows users to access their files in remote PC. With this app, you can remotely access or download ALL of your documents, play music, view photos stored in PC (or any Tondio powered devices such as TonidoPlug) through your Windows. Tonido is a personal cloud service and it has apps for multiple platforms and WP8 now joins with the app release.

With this app, you can also stream music and videos and upload photo and videos captured from your Windows Phone to your PC. So this is basically a personal cloud which uses secure mechanism to transfer the files.

To use Tonido, you need to first install the app on your Windows, Mac or Linux based on your OS. Once this is done, you need to create a username and password for your cloud account. Now you can generate a unique link which can be used to access your PC from the phone using your credentials. For media streaming, it supports a wide range of formats including FLAC, OGG, WMA, MP3, JPEG, PNG, GIF, CR2, NEF, CRW and more.
