On your Desktop in Windows 10, navigate to the Taskbar, choose the app icon which you would like to remove from it, right-click and choose “Unpin from Taskbar”. With this, the icon will be removed. Repeat the process for all the apps you wish to remove.

  • Open the Notepad in Windows 10. It can be done by searching for the same in the Start Search Box.
  • Copy and Paste the below-mentioned command line code into the text editor.

DEL /F /S /Q /A "%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar\*"

REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband /F

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe start explorer.exe

  • Head over to File -> Save As; name the file according to you but with a .bat extension, for example, “taskbarreset.bat” and save it to your desired location.
  • Now, head back to the location where the file has been saved, double click the .bat file and wait for it to get executed.

With that, the Taskbar would have been cleared and reset.
