Review : Pure Pool Cued for Xbox One
While most of the Xbox Gamers are into action games, specially first shooter and multi-player, today we are taking a look at more of a casual game which you can enjoy alone or with family members.
Pure Pool Cued–an ultimate next gen pool game–from Indie developers VooFoo Studios, and Ripstone Publishing has released a pool simulation game which gives you an experience very close to what you would play in real world. I have been playing this game over a week now, and I am left impressed. There are two things you will love about the game. One is realistic HD visuals, which makes you feel being in a pool arcade than just playing a game on the console. Second, I found the physics engine pretty impressive.
As you start playing the game, you can starts with some practice sessions, and then start working on the career mode. There are default AI Players available which show up based on your skill levels. So if you are user who is not much into multiplayer. still have option play against an opponent.
Controls are simple and easy to use. Most of the time, you will use the two sticks. The left stick is to rotate the view, while the right one is to take aim and shoot. You need to pull it back and then forward to hit. How fast you move the stick forward decides the intensity. The buttons are only used when you want cue your ball.
Game Features:
- Allows you to stand up, and look at the pool table from all the sides using the sticks. This makes it easy for you to decide if there are balls in between and enough space is left.
- As you set the stick to aim, you get a real time collision sense to where the ball will hit, and where the cue ball will move on.
- Live Pool Arcade environment where you can see people in the background, sound of conversation, et al. However, there is no distraction as everything in the background is dim and blurred.
- The game has impressive animations, specially when you are about to hit the black ball.
- Multiplayer to play against a real human which makes the game more realistic. In case none of your friends are online, you can play against AI version of friends. The game can track individual gaming-styles, creating a unique DNA profile as they play.
