Roboto : This Sharp Looking, Action Platformer is Now on Windows & Windows Mobile

It looks like Windows Phone is getting many platformer games these days, where Roboto gets into the recent addition. It’s a platform + shooter game where you play as a Robot who needs to pass through multiple security robots and hurdles to ask a girl.  The game has been ported over from iOS and Android, where it had seen great success.

What I really liked about the game is visual. They are HD and looked awesome, along with the sounds that have been placed along with the game. When it comes to controls, you have a forward and backward button, with Fire and Jump buttons on the right. What makes the game really tough is its limitations on Energy and Time. That means neither you a sit all day, nor you have juice from all the world.

However, like any other game, your energy refills to keep you going on because jumping, hovering, and hitting on another bot costs energy. At every level, you have three gears ( big ones) to collect. These gears are different from those you get from taking out a bot.

The game’s toughness level is between easy and tough. It will take you a while to adjust, and then things got better from there. However, could you not take it too easy?

BTW, this is a pretty old game. If you are using phones for some time, you have it played even on the Symbian platform.

The game is priced at $2.99 and is available for both Windows and Phone. IMO the game is completely worth the money, especially when it comes with a trial version for you to try. Since it’s a universal app, you get on both of them for the same price.
