Samsung Launches Windows 10 Powered Galaxy Book Tablet Series

At MWC 2017, Samsung has launched a new series of Windows 10 Powered Tablet, Galaxy Book. These feature packed tablets are for those who are looking for a powerful tablet which can replace their bulky laptops, deliver equally good battery life, and come with a great display. This new series with two different devices: the Galaxy Book 10 and the Galaxy Book 12. These devices come with the 2-in-1 portable format i.e. a dockable keyboard so you can do all the heavy work of typing, and the company claims the display is the best in the market.

Samsung Galaxy Book 10:

  • It is a 10.6 inch with IPS LCD display at 1080P or FULL HD.
  • 30-watt hour battery which should last 10 hours.

  • Powered by Intel Core M dual core chip clocked at 2.6Ghz.
  • 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC storage
  • No rear camera

Samsung Galaxy Book 12:

  • It houses a 12-inch Full HD+ (2,160 x 1,440) with AMOLED panel.
  • 39-watt hour battery which should last 10 hours.

  • Powered by 7th gen quad-core Intel Core i5 Kaby Lake chip clocked at 3.1GHz
  • 4GB or 8GB RAM
  • 128GB or 256GB SSD
  • Two USB Type-C ports & One MicroSD card slot.
  • 4G LTE SIM slot.
  • 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera for video calls.

Both the devices Samsung’s S Pen, which does not need any charging. Using the S pen, you will be able to draw and make the best use of Windows 10 Ink Support on Windows 10, especially after creators update where you will get the 3D Paint. With the S Pen, you will be able to draw anything you want on the Galaxy Book using Windows 10’s built-in Windows Ink feature.

Samsung is preloading the S note app using which you can take notes, make use annotations in PDF, create GIF file and so on. If you use it for paint, you can change the brushstrokes, and shade as well without lifting your pen. All you need is to tilt your pen.  There is no mention of pricing as of now.
