Seasons for Windows Phone gets its much needed Fix, Runs smooth now.
Seasons a never-ending runner game which introduced a twist in the genre by adding smash-to-break option to remove obstacles and allow flying in the sky. Keeping in mind that I reported last time that it was impossible for me to play the game because it was darn slow. Good news is that a fix has fixed this issue.
No More Sluggish Graphics:
From impossible to play to completely playable. The gameplay is much smoother and now and I was able to play for 15 minutes easy. I also experienced that response time to break the barriers was enough this time unlike last time. The game music wasn’t intervening anywhere and playback was smooth. Also in flying mode I noticed it was much easier to move the flying player quickly unlike last time where it was pretty slow.

Game Play:
Seasons which is built around weather and hence the name, has a human character which makes the run to collect some leaves to improve the conditions around. While the game is typically infinite runner game but it does make its difference by adding natural environments in form of trees, caves, rocks and so on.
The game is bit quick and at many a time it expects a good response from you too. So when the barriers start coming, they come one after the other and a pause might just relax you for a while but then it appears of all of a sudden. While sliding and jumping the runner is simple, hitting the stone barriers which cannot be jumped over or slide through needs to be broken. This needs an extra second.
Multiplayer:
This should be the first infinite runner game which has a multiplayer mode. As you run over the rocky or the icy terrains, in multiplayer, you should see another guy running in the background. Here comes the twist, you can use powers to add bit of extra effort for your competition and be prepared for the same.
There is no dedicated multiplayer section, so to enable it, go to settings and check the multiplayer option. Once you do that, a second player section will be available right in the background which would make you feel like somebody is running along with you but pretty far.
The game doesn’t use a server but converts your phone into a hosting server. Since it’s just 2 players that would run along, it works out.
Upgrades:
Two kids of upgrades are available–Power-ups and Magic. While Power-ups include Run, magnet, leaves 2X and prophecy the Magic section includes devils touch, time shift, snatcher and panic haze. The latter is useful for multiplayer.
