Video : Shank 2 Xbox 360 Game Review & GamePlay
Shank 2 is a comic book 2D Action Arcade game with some awesome visual style ( which seems to be mostly hand drawn ) , which for sure leaves a good impression if you are a first time player but then there is lot of blood and killing so be warned its not for kids.
Shank 2 is a basically about a guy who was travelling in a bus to meet his family but then it ends up into a Militia End in a Jungle and now he needs to clear his way out.
What you will love about the game ?
The Action the character takes to pounce and leap and literally chop of its enemies using the iron blades is just freaking awesome because it happens just way to fast and is accurate. In fact the leaping feature is the best way to fight most of the enemies down here except where you need a bit of strategy.
Second thing which you will like is when you are firing your blades in combo Y and X in combo, you will see your enemies literally flying in air and getting smashed.
Third the enemies don’t comes in just one direction but in all which means you really need to fight left and right and take quick decisions and pouncing might help you bit but not all the time because when you have shooters you need to dodge them really smartly. So the enemies are smart here
Fourth the help page explains all kind of tricks you need to learn to use the objects and fight the enemies around and it comes with snapshot so will make things really easy for you.
Fifth is the stunning 2D Art Style, Yes I have to say it again but this is some serious work specially with the Bosses and they look like Bosses and you would love to crush them under shipping containers, Trucks and even Sharks!!! using the switches so it’s not just how fast you are but how much you are paying attention to the game.
Game Modes :
You can play it offline with two players and co-op which is the survival mode here and with online you can have leaderboard along with the Co-op and Multiplayer.
What I did not like about it ?
The controls are kind of awkward here and you might take sometime to get adjustments done since you cannot change it. You will have to use X Y in combination to fire your sword in all direction which I seriously find very uncomfortable as I use it for most of the time and its get bit of painful.

The game costs 800 Microsoft Points and comes with a trail mode if you want to give it a try. The trail mode will only allow you play campaign mode and that without saving your state which means if you exist in between, you will have to play it all over again.
