Shazam for Windows Phone Saves a Tag when Internet Ditches You
Shazam for Windows Phone helps you find music playing around you and save it for your reference later. It’s a very popular app among Windows Phone users and has been rasing the quality bar high when compared to similar apps like musixMatch.
So Shazam did it again and now has introduced Offline Tagging feature. Prior to update if your phone did not have internet connection, the tags were lost with an error message. Now, instead of dumping them and let you do all hard work again, the tags are saved in the app. Tags are music discovery about which you wanted more info.
Now, the app devs went one step further and automated it. The app will itself send the offline tags when internet connection reappears on the phone. and let know you about it. This way you will never miss identifying a song you heard randomly somewhere.
Also, according to the app update there is a Lyrics feature rolled out in the same update which runs along with the music and you can enjoy singing along. However, I failed to find it anywhere in the app and am still looking out.
One thing to notice here is that link to Nokia Music and Xbox Music is gone and only YouTube is left. Proior to this you could have launched the Nokia and Xbox Music app right on your phone.
So here is a quick question for all of you guys, which music discovery app do you use? Is it Soundhound or MusixMatch or Shazam? Share in comments and tell us why.
