Silent Noise : Party with Your Playlist with Everybody Involved
Silent Noise is one of the coolest app I have seen in a while which can get everybody at your home together with music. Built with an idea of sharing your music playlist with others without handing over your phone and get into dog fight over which would be the next song, this app lets you connect all the phones together and vote for it.
The Idea:
The app pulls all your music from your phone and creates a playlist. So when you host a part, others join and get to see the same playlist and Playing Now, on their mobile. Now everybody can vote for their favorite song and the one which gets most vote, gets played, next.

The host can take over the playlist and arrange the playlist if he wishes for it.
How does this work, technically?
Your phone is hosted over WIFI as a streaming media player and other connect over to the media player. Now, there is no streaming to the phones but its only playlist sharing which means the best way to use it will be to connect it to external speaker and use the phone only as a remote control.
The best part of the app is how easy it is for anybody to join the party. One can choose to join a party and when provided with correct party id, the host sends across the WIFI username and password. Once connected the connection is instant.
Still in Beta
The app is still in beta which means there will be few hiccups. So for example, I tried the app with 4 Lumias but the album cover was either not available on any of the phones or it was wrong. Also expect a little delay in “Now Playing” change to show in all the phone.
There is another feature, “Go Silent” which is not active yet. Once the app is rolled out for Windows Phone 8.1, this feature will work. However the app can be installed on Windows Phone 8.1
