Skype for Web Now Supports Calls & Invite Non-Skype Users to Chat
Web version of Skype has rolled out new important features. One it now allows you to make call, and second invite Non-Skype users to chat. Apart from this you also get Inline support for YouTube, and web notification.
How to Invite Non-Skype Users to Chat?
This is the most significant feature announcement as it allows Non-Skype users to join the conversation without needing or signing up the Skype account. You can create a chat with anyone by pressing +New and then ‘Share conversation.’ This generates a unique conversation URL that you can share however you want. And, anyone that clicks the URL can join your chat.

You can also share the link over an email. Once its done, you will need to confirm the conversation or the chat to start. This is more inline with how business web conference like LYNC works, and I won’t be surprised if Microsoft plans to merge the features in one way or the other.
Calls to Mobile Phones & Landlines
If you are using Skype credit or have a subscription, you an make calls right from the web interface. It comes with full dialer support. If you are on Outlook or OneDrive look for the little Skype icon on top-right on the toolbar.

This is extremely useful for those who don’t want to install Skype client on their PC or Mac, and since the notifications are supported as well, you don’t miss any chat conversation or calls. You can check out the web version of Skype right here.
