Skype Lite now supports Group Video, Audio Call along with new Diwali Special Emojis

Microsoft launched Skype Lite keeping in mind the bandwidth issue in India. The primary target was to offer a light-weight, data-friendly and smooth experience even on a low-end Android Phone. Today, this version of Skype has now been upgraded to offer Group Video & Audio calls.

This feature is free to use, and you can also invite your friends and family to join the call from another social network, i.e., Facebook, WhatsApp, etc., via a guest link. There is no need to signup for Skype or even download the app as it works through the web version of Skype. The link or the guest account will be valid for 24 hours.

Since this is Diwali, there are new Diwali themed emoticons. In addition to this new feature, Skype Lite also includes an Indian chatbot named “Ruuh,” which mimics “a desi AI who never stops talking.” You can find it in the discovery tab. Well, a Ruuh, which doesn’t stop talking, sounds a little scary, but then it’s Diwali. Get your personalized card ready with that chatting bot!!
