SteamVR Content is now available for Windows Mixed Reality Headsets

As expected, SteamVR is now available for Windows 10 users holding Mixed Reality headsets.  SteamVR offers more than 2000 titles which should give them a good start, especially when the enthusiasts who bought the headset have some big expectations from Microsoft for the platform.

This is going to help Microsoft big time. SteamVR coming to Windows 10 wants a straight path. There where a bit of doubt if they would become available anytime soon, but then last week everything got sorted out.

This was officially announced through the Steam Community by Jonathan. He said:

Last month, we opened access to the Windows Mixed Reality SteamVR developer preview so developers could try out their experiences. Today, we’re excited to share that customers everywhere can experience more than 2000 titles from the Steam®VR library on a new Windows Mixed Reality immersive headset.

That said, you will need at least an Intel Core™ i7 processor along with GTX 1070 graphics card to play those games. It won’t work with your integrated graphics card for sure. Here is what you need to do next to play SteamVR games.
