These Lumia Phones will get Windows 10 Mobile Upgrade First
Microsoft has promised to roll out Windows 10 Mobile upgrade for all Windows Phone running Windows Phone 8.1. This include both Lumias and Non Lumia Windows Phone. However, it seems like the upgrade will be not only rolled out in phases, but also will start with only fewer devices.
A page on Microsoft’s site has list of devices that will get the Windows 10 Mobile Upgrade first.

- Lumia 435
- Lumia 532
- Lumia 535
- Lumia 540
- Lumia 640
- Lumia 640 XL
- Lumia 735
- Lumia 830
- Lumia 930
These are the devices which Microsoft recently launched to the market with promise of getting the upgrades as soon as the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade is rolled out. This was first reported by Neowin, which cited the page and then when asked Microsoft about it, they replied:
“This is an initial list of in-market devices to receive the Windows 10 update. It is our ambition to bring Windows 10 to all Lumia devices running Lumia Denim software, noting that some features will vary, based on the hardware specifications.”
That said, Microsoft recently shared the list of chipset that will get upgrade which includes almost all the SoC used in Windows Phone devices which means that upgrade will eventually be rolled out.
Two Lumia devices, 520 and 630, are very popular when it comes to market share, and we hope the roll out is not delayed by much for them.
