First Third Party Lock Screen App for Windows Phone 8.1 is here, But There is a Catch

If you have a developer unlock and interopunlocked phone, you may want to try out the First Third Party Lock Screen App. Its kind of very very very beta-alpha app as it does not even have support for notification

Weil I haven’s tested the app myself but I can trust on the person who tipped me about it and there is a screenshot also included. It supports wallpaper, battery status, music player on the lock screen and date.

So how did it all begin ?

The Live Lock Screen app which if you have noticed works without changing anything in the lock screen settings. That’s also one of the reasons why it made the lock screen slow. While the dev behind the homebrew lock screen apps were already in doubt, that the lock screen functionally can be extended and the Live Lock screen cleared it for them. This homebrew app follows the same method and takes over the lock screen.

You need  ID_CAP_SHELL_DEVICE_LOCK_UI_API unlocked to install this app. This also means it will only work on non lumia phones as of now. There is an emulator version if you want to try it that way.
