Toshiba Announces Ultra Cheap Windows 8.1 Tablet for $120

Few months back Microsoft had announced the Windows 8.1 with Bing for low end device and now its finally taking shape. Toshiba has announced the first Windows 8.1 tablet with pretty decent entry level specs. Toshiba’s Encore Mini comes with a is a 7-inch (1024 x 600) display and runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing.

The tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor with 16GB of internal storage and if you need more storage, there is also SD slot.

Encore Mini is probably the cheapest Windows 8.1 tablet available right now. There is no Windows button on the tablet, so you will have to use the charms menu to go to start screen.

Going by the specs of the tablet, it looks pretty low especially the display resolution, but the best part of the tablet is the pricing which is just $120. We will also be seeing more and more cheap Windows 8.1 tablets coming soon, HP is already working on $100 tablet. There is no mention on the availability as of now, we will update when the device comes to India.
